Narrative

This is the basic plot/narrative for our video:
The story follows the life of 4 soldiers in the army as they go to war. At the start of the video we see the main soldier saying goodbye to his pregnant girlfriend, and the others saying goodbye to their families. As the song goes on, we see the soldiers training, marching, drill, gun movements etc. Towards the middle of the song, the soldiers are sitting around a camp fire thinking about their loved ones back home. We see a photo of the main soldier with his pregnant girlfriend.
Towards the end of the song, our main soldier gets shot. His fellow comrades try and resusitate him but he dosen't make it. Wehn he's dying, we are incorperating an abstract section; we're going to have the his commander turn into his girlfriend and smile at him.
The video will end with the girl getting the news of the soldiers death, showing the audience the real reality of war and how it effects the ones left behind.

Throughout the video we're going to intercut the shots of the narrative with shots of the band performing and also of people holding the signs.

A main aspect of the video which links back to our band (30 Seconds to Mars), is the triad necklace.

This necklace will be worn by our main soldier and he will treat it as a Christian would a cross. This is to show the power of the Echelon, and how 30 Seconds to Mars is so much more then just a band; it's a cult.. a religion. The necklace is going to be the soldiers support, what keeps him brave while he's fighting. It keeps him going.

So those are the main ideas, we really like the narrative structure and are excited to get started.
