Our video is one where we NEED serious actors. Because our actors are cadets, they take war very seriously so won't mess about on set. Our video also has a high requirement of emotion and facial expression. Obviously, we want the reactions of the tragedy to be realistic and reach to the audience. A band which is infamous for their facial expressions is My Chemical Romance, especially front man Gerard Way. His facial expressions in their music videos anchor the lyrics and music which makes us really feel his emotions. Here are some examples:
This is Mikey (band member) hiding before he gets shot. In our video, a scared soldier hides behind a tree; this scared expression is what we want to show.
This is Gerard's reaction to Mikey being shot. It's very powerful and we want to show something similar.
